Dinner for Jake
We are honored to share a special benefit dinner hosted by River Bar in support of Jake Rojas as he faces his battle with throat cancer. Many may know Jake as the chef and owner of the unforgettable Tallulah’s, as well as from the Dine for Oido dinner held on our patio last June. River Bar’s Executive Chef, Kevin English, and owner, James Wayman, share a long history with Jake and are leading this effort to support him.
Most of us have been touched by cancer in some way, whether through the experience of a loved one or our own. The weight of it is profound. This evening is not only about supporting Jake on his path to recovery, but about creating something meaningful and beautiful in the midst of a difficult time.
Guests will gather for a five-course dinner featuring dishes from acclaimed, award-winning chefs Tyler Anderson, David Standridge, and Evan Hennessy. There is no better way to honor Jake than by coming together over exceptional food, thoughtful cocktails, and the kind of community that carries us through.
Easter Brunch
With the arrival of spring, we are thrilled to be working with the incredible local produce and seasonal crops that our area has to offer. At The Shipwright’s Daughter, we are passionate about showcasing these fresh ingredients in our dishes, and we can't wait to share them with you.
On April 5th, we’ll be serving a special 3-course Easter brunch featuring a carefully crafted appetizer, a flavorful main course, and a decadent dessert to finish. The brunch will be available from 10 AM to 3 PM, offering plenty of time to enjoy a relaxed, delicious meal with friends and family.

Friend of a Fisherman
A member of our local small-boat fishing community recently underwent a serious medical procedure and will be off the water while he recovers. For independent fishermen, time away from the boat means time without income. This family-style dinner brings our community together to support him and his family during recovery, with all proceeds going directly to them, and to stand behind the small but mighty “mosquito fleet” that keeps local fishing traditions alive.
KELP DINNER
The Shipwright’s Daughter presents its 5th Annual Kelp Dinner on April 26 in partnership with Stonington Kelp Company. James Beard Award–winning Chef David Standridge and guest Chef Jordan Rubin of Mr. Tuna will create a multi-course dinner highlighting kelp, sustainable seafood, and regenerative ocean farming from New England’s coastal waters.

Shipwright’s Daughter Heads to Brooklyn
On Tuesday, March 24, Chef David Standridge of The Shipwright’s Daughter joins Chef Ned Baldwin at Zoli in Brooklyn for a special one-night collaboration dinner.
Hosted as part of Zoli’s upstairs dinner series, the evening will feature a four-course menu from Chef Standridge, exploring the coastal flavors and sustainable seafood that define his cooking in Mystic.
Wine pairings for the evening will be selected by Kathleen Standridge.
A night of thoughtful cooking, great wine, and two kitchens coming together.
Shippy's Pub - Irish Parade Pop Up
Join us for Shippy’s Pub, a one-day Irish Parade pop-up at The Shipwright’s Daughter. Our private dining room transforms into a cozy pub overlooking Main Street, featuring Guinness and Harp on draft, whiskey selections, and pub fare available for purchase. $10 cover includes wristband entry. 21+.
Mr. Tuna | Tuna & Friends with David Standridge
The Shipwright’s Daughter heads to Portland, Maine on March 11 for one night only, joining Mr. Tuna’s Tuna & Friends dinner series.
Chef David Standridge will cook alongside the Mr. Tuna team as part of this celebrated guest-chef series honoring sustainable seafood, regional sourcing, and the working waterfronts of New England. The evening will feature an à la carte menu shaped by shared values of stewardship, seasonality, and respect for the ocean.

Join us in New York City for an intimate evening with David Standridge, 2024 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Northeast and Executive Chef of The Shipwright’s Daughter.
Hosted at De Gustibus Culinary Studio at Macy’s Herald Square, this immersive cooking class highlights the bounty of East Coast seafood through recipes drawn from Chef Standridge’s forthcoming book, Tide to Table. Guests will enjoy live cooking demonstrations paired with a thoughtfully composed five-course tasting menu and curated beverage pairings, offering a deeper look into the techniques, sourcing, and stories that define his modern New England approach.

Designed to serve six guests, each dinner is crafted with the same care, creativity, and sustainable ingredients that define our kitchen. From David’s legendary mashed potatoes (so good they’ve become a tradition of their own) to our perfectly seasoned dressing, every bite is bound to impress.
Dinners come fully prepared and ready to reheat with simple instructions—so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time around the table.
Pickup will be at Mystic Fish Camp on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27, 2025).

This immersive evening explores how shellfish play a vital role in building resilient, local food systems and restoring aquatic environments. Enjoy a lively panel discussion featuring Kate Masury of Eating with the Ecosystem, commercial fisherman Jason Jarvis of Quonnie Fish Co., and Steve Malinowski of Fishers Island Oysters.
